Re: dubstep cliches
It's when you hear people slagging off the cliche then you hear their tunes and they are trying to be the moody'st tune/big drop ever, sharing the same generic big d'n'b snare on the 3rd, corny film samples, raspy lfo sync'd bass etc... then you read their myspace bio and they chat on about originality and vast influences being the key to their sound.

WE DON'T NEED TO GIVE OUR OPINION ON THIS EVERY FUCKING DAY
Love good music and don't complain if a scene doesn't hand you good music on a plate for the rest of fucking eternity... if you're unsatisfied, get digging just like you did to find your favourite Dubstep acts.

Re: dubstep cliches
What's a Dubstep?
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.
Re: dubstep cliches
Maybe we should all move onto something new, because I can't see it moving anywhere else from it's current spot and it's true that the bitching is getting really old. All old-school fans are tired (up to a certain point) of the shitty generic bollocks that's coming out, but in all honesty, there's only a certain amount you can do with a reverbed snare at 140 bpm and some heavy bass. I love everyone on this forum and the general mood, but we've got fuck all to talk about these days. Just because it's dubstepforum doesn't mean we can't talk about different music. I think that we need to open up a bit.
So how bout that jazz, hm?

Aww... whats wrong big man? You gettin the formula bug too? Cmon bro, Get back on that 3/4 bit, n go start a subgenre... that seems to be the thing to do these days when you write an original tune...i dont really listen to dubstep these days, it depresses me too much
Now whats with that? Terrible trend lately, more so then even bitching about dub dieing... This subgenre shits gotta go too, no matter how much humors in it.
