HOW DO YOU MIX VARIOUS EDM GENRES? / DOWNLOAD HERE!

Couple of days ago I got a request to record a minimix to be used as a background music for a designer website [ http://www.visual-logic.eu/ ]
and I decided to make it into a proper studio mix (circa 30 min fragment of it is still going to be used there).

Bearing in mind it’s a design focused webpage I also chose tracks which have crystal clear beat engineering / production as well as some soul put into them.

The mix came out quite interesting, it contains most of so called “electronic dance music” genres e.g: drum and bass / ambient / dub / electro / minimal techno / breakbeat / IDM / hiphop / downtempo / nu jazz / deep+clickhouse etc.

What is also significant about it is that it has a fair share of non-d’n’b tracks made by d’n’b producers. I also added some scratching and turntablist tricks on top of this sonic cocktail. I’ve recorded it last night and listened to it this morning, got shivers down my spine, felt the urge not to go to work, started seeing people’s faces in the crowd and almost got ran over by a bus so I guess it works.
