Yeah, sorry--wasn't trying to be coy. I recall reading somewhere that the Harmonimix moniker was meant to be secret (can't find the post or article now), but I suppose that's difficult to do with the whole Internet thing. Anyway, my prior comments still stand: he's a genius of a producer and this needs to see immediate release.d'brickashaw ferguson wrote:Stop being coy motherfuckers. It's Jimmy Blake, yah?

Re: Lil Wayne - A Milli (Harmonimix)
not bad, Im kinda sick of A milli remixes. Excision & Datsiks is good too, a different style alltogther though
Re: Lil Wayne - A Milli (Harmonimix)
sick of a milli (and next hype, while im at it) mixes too. the original (of both tunes) is still the best, by a mile. the beat for this one is nice and everything, but when oneman played it and followed it with ghetto kyote (i think it was that one), it made this remix look not quite as good. ghetto kyote>>>>
Re: Lil Wayne - A Milli (Harmonimix)
i fucking love the beat...
the whole thing kind of reminds me of a bit i did this time last year which i am now going to shamefully plug...

Re: Lil Wayne - A Milli (Harmonimix)
Agreed that it's been done to death, but never this well, IMHO. Paraphrasing a friend, I don't think I've ever heard a remix of A Milli that humanizes Lil Wayne on the same level that some of his own tracks do. Also there's something very John Maus-esque about it, which I thought was rather interesting.
It's not an easy one to work into a mix effectively, but pulled off properly it's such an epic breather, as if a huge wave of utter bliss just surged through the room.

Nice one rama, last ruffage sesh was incredible btw. Kinda guessed they'd be on a 12" together, february is soon too. Think I might jizz myself if i get a hold of this haha. And fyra agree, best a milli remix out there (starkey's one I picked up today is shit hot also) and all his tunes are pretty hard to mix. But that's because he's a don. By the way anyone know a date for pembroke???ramadanman wrote:out on the 1st feb, according to st holdings release sheet

Give me a jungle or garage beat and admit defeat.

Truf. The last couple times I've seen Daedelus over holidays he's been mixing in Air & Lack Thereof to great effect, but then again he's doing doing like 2 or 3 other things simultaneously to keep the energy moving. Also is that Starkey remix on an official release or available for free D/L? Just purchased the Knob Twiddler digi today, big one.rubadub wrote:And fyra agree, best a milli remix out there (starkey's one I picked up today is shit hot also) and all his tunes are pretty hard to mix.
