Re: LSD + Dubstep
Shambhala this summer...was on psychedelics for the whole 5 days of the festival (with some lil' pauses to get some sleep...)
Heyoka, Sub Swara, Max Ulis and Taal Mala were some of the best "bass+acid" experiences ever.
Benga was pretty fun too, but I did a bit too much K (with the acid....and mdma, and coke) and the mechanical octopus from outerspace kinda took control of my body, wich felt kinda weird and pleasurable at the same time. Couldn't stop liquid dancing. Damn, that DJ Craze guy was annoying...Kept messing with Benga's set.

Re: LSD + Dubstep
tripping makes most music sound better to be honest
dubstep wise i'd probably be more inclined to listen to something like boxcutter though. or something really deep like kryptic minds.
one of my best acid experiences was at the big chill a couple of years ago on 4 microdots, and i got dragged to the main stage to see trentemoller. not being a techno head i wasnt expecting much but it was fucking incredible. the sound and the visuals were both fucking amazing and i was literally transfixed for the whole set. then later that night i saw my mates bird turn into a goblin, which was amusing.

maybe in a few years, when dubstep'll have more depth in it, right now it's still pretty shallow and in your face.

Burial is great on acid. Coki is great on acid. Borgore would likely make me want to kill someone on acid.

you're listening to the wrong dubstep man, there's plenty of all kinds of stuff with "depth" to itdubod wrote:maybe in a few years, when dubstep'll have more depth in it, right now it's still pretty shallow and in your face.
natural association of colours with music/people/numbers/things, not like immediately visible, but i'm really aware of benga's "night" being yellow when i hear it. Some things give me odd tactile sensations i can feel as well.WhosZena? wrote:Hurtdeer wrote:WhosZena? wrote:That sounds pretty cool, shame im anti drugs

acid helps me visibly see it. and gets my senses properly mixed up generally. Feeling/seeing music is nice

as long as it's good deep music, i'd love to have a batch of san pedro tea in front of a big system.
Re: LSD + Dubstep
good stuff! I wonder how it would be to hear rhythm and sound on psychadelics on a huge hifi. man that would be unreal.gravity wrote:tripping makes most music sound better to be honest

Re: LSD + Dubstep
2 weekends ago i went to see 16bit and emalkay live in LA............i dropped one tab and smoked a little.....
i must say it was one of the most intense experiences ever. 16bit's set was so mindblowing...every song they dropped i could actually visualize...every bassline looked so crisp and refreshing....when they dropped there banger track PCP....i lost it......everytime i heard the main riff in PCP is could see a field of green and purple shaped so intricately it is as if i could see PCP being mapped out on fruity loops for me...i felt as if i had all the answers to how to make such amazing tracks...LSD is amazing in combination with dubstep....every track i heard that night sounded so much better, so much different than previous times i had listened....when i heard chainsaw calligraphy i would close my eyes and enter a whole other world, i felt as if i was sprinting by a lake with a saw in my hand chasing little summer camp kids till the sun comes up....then emalkay came on while i still was in the middle of my peak....INSANE!.... Emalkay dropped trolley snatcha's most recent dubplate CIRCLE K to start things off...listening to that song my mind was flooded with all sorts of colors....blue, green, turquoise....then emalkay spun right into trolley snatcha's massive banger SCATTAH!.....omg.....right when i heard scattah i went nuts....i felt as if i was in the middle of a riot being tear gassed...i felt as if i was running on tienamen square...UNBELIEVABLE....reminded this is all of one acid tab....i got this tab direct from san fransisco, California....best 10$ i ever spent...

Drugs can give you a very nice experience, but still drugs are drugs, remember that.
