I usually produce mainstream dance style tracks (youtube search: Gareth Nevin) but last week someone opened my eyes to the world of dubstep. I thought i would try it out.
I made this song last night, this is my first attempt..Listen here:

For the bass in my song i used these plug-ins:
- Toxic Biohazard (2 x layers: screaming bass sound)
- Novation V-station (mid bass, and sub bass)
- Alot of distortion, and the occasional "wah wah" effect
At this stage its only half a song; its an experiment.
I'd like any feedback you can give me
Tips on getting more of that "wobble" or "wub" effect????

not bad man, but if you ask about wobbles without going to the production forum and reading the millions of topics already posted, we fill your threads with llamas n nonsense, n marshy pritsticks your hair.
Lol.
Tunes tight though man, you need a little something more in your intro, dropping the last bar completely for a vocal or a slide in on the bass sound or something, band shifting your roll back so it occurs leading into that drop bar, youll get serious tension n that bassdrop moment dubs about
check out the production forum though man, theres better shit out there then biohazrad... and all the info youll ever need and more

yeah, sounds pretty decent. it's apparent you're into to trance/techno type stuff from the very start, but it's a good effort. you'll be sounding like a pro in a few months probably. the wobble comes with time, it took me a couple months to get mine how i wanted it to sound
