new to producing, tear me a new one!

i'm kinda new to producing... heres a short bit of a song i started today. far from finished, but as i have no local mentors, i'm willing to be criticized by you lovely folks. be as nitpicky or as generic as you'd like.
obviously the structure will be quite different, a few more parts and more switch ups, but as for the sounds that are there, what do you think?

glad you like the track. i'm just using reason on my powerbook right now. still learning all the ins and outs. really want to buckle down and learn live as well.
