Not exactly what you asked for, but this is a great demonstration of Live's workflow. Shows drum programming, fx, synths, automation, etc.

(it's electro-house, but give it a chance - this to me, was the most helpful in a general sense)

check out Tom Cosm tutorials: http://www.cosm.co.nz/ Again, it's electro housey kind of stuff but i learnt alot about workflow/fx etc. I moved "up" from FLstudio too about 6 months ago, and never looked back.. good luck with it!

How do you split bAss frequencies in ableton live so you can treat mids/highs?

Send a signal to 3 channels, press IN on them and tweak away.

yeah this definetly isn't always easy. i think you wanna use either "complex" or "complex pro" warp mode, and use your metronome. it's like warping anything else, just put your first warp marker on the first downbeat or whatever of the acapella, set 1.1.1 here and use the metronome to line it all up.

i find it much easier to cut the intro out, cut the verse out, cut the chorus out and use the parts that way.

search youtube man, there's plenty of tutorials on this shit out there!

Is there anyway to drag all the level meters down at the same time?

Yes, in Live 8 - just hold shift and click on all the channels then mouse them down.

Version 7 and earlier, unfortunately there is not.

Yeah it's a bit of a pain, I agree.

Best way to work around is mix the whole track. Then drag you meters (not the levels) but just the visible part of the meter area and you can see the decibel level. Then just reduce each one by the same amount (so you keep the balance) so you can get to -3db or -6db.

Just turn off warp in the sample editor that will remove all warp markers

Is there a way to Split the Frequencies of the track so anything below say 90 hz is set to mono and everything above 90 hz is stereo? Is there a recommended master plugin for this?
Thanks in Advance.
