I remember coming across some DJ Oddz tracks and gaping at what he managed to do with a bassline. Never heard anything like it before in my life.

edit: oh, and also Ruff Sqwad - Anna. Rapid smacking it big time both lyrically and productionwise, and the rest of the crew flowing tightly. Just a shame that Fudaguy wasn't around back then.

Just been playing DJ Mex - Slow ("DPM Recordings").

I'd forgotten how much I love that tune. So simple, yet so effective. You can probably make a tune like that in 5 minutes if you know how to use Fruity, but it probably wouldn't work quite as well. :)
