Add on synth from ableton lets you draw your own.

I just checked it out and I'm pretty sure it only draws envelopes:

I can only see drawing the amplitude of an oscillator's harmonics, is that what you're talking about?

z3ta doesn't let you draw your own waveforms but you can tweak the hell out of them, pretty sure you can achieve the waveform you're looking for with it, takes alot of fannying around with parameters though.

operator is one of the synths that comes with ableton. if you have ableton 8 then you have the option to have custom waveforms that you draw in yourself. if you don't have ableton 8, then get it..worth it for the improvements on operator alone.

I thought Macs could run Windows + pc software using emulators or bootcamp? Image

Get rid of your fashion toy and buy a PC, then save money on all the quality freeware that is available! :e:

Yeah, absynth has it down to a science.

Can absynth make waveforms like this?

Or can it only do crude free-hand scribblings? ie: Does it give you a straight line tool, a circle tool, a parabolic arc tool, etc?

mutools mulab [http://www.mutools.com/] has a bult-in synth that lets you draw your own waveforms. the synth itself is completely modular, it is pretty insane how powerful that thing is actually. you can use internal filters, lfo's and such, but also load any number of 3rd party plugins you want, and connect them with virtual cables and such. add as many oscillators as you want, samples, whatever you wish.

works on mac.

ah, i forgot to mention Curve. it's a synth currently being developed by Cableguys, and it's all about drawing waveforms. still in beta, but it is very cool:
