Edgar Cayce / End of the world
So on the weekend after a few drinks with a few freinds the conversation goes onto the end of the world. I come out with the usual biblical tale of judgement day. My freind comes out with the whole the aztec calander ends in 2012 so theres no more time meaning no more earth. Then my other freinds comes out with this bombshell which is Edgar Cayce. So he starting saying how this guy lived in NY in the early 1900's and could get into some sort of state of mind. Where he could answer any question any thought of. And i mean anything few of his answers where that Californa would fall in the ocean before anyone knew about it sat over 2 of the worlds plates so really if there was a big enough earthquake it could inturn make it fall into the oceon. The next one was that he said the tressure of the Altanians ( yes mother fucking altanis) was hidden underneath the Sphinx then in the 80's someone done a soniscan of the sphinx and it rivealed a chamber 150 feet underneath it which to this day no-one has been able to enter. And lastly he said that the world isnt going to end but its going to have a near end experence. What he said was that theres going to be a polar shift which will turn the world on its axis. Which will make this wrath of god like wheather which will inturn nearly destory the wheather. and where the axis shift so will the plates which will reconstruct earth so all the contenents will brake up and make new land etc. Which will cause a massive loss of all life man and animal together. Messed up man anyways what you guys think and anyone know anymore about him my freind got me really interested in him and his "gift".

Yeah, there were countless "psychics" around at that time, it was pretty fashionable in victorian London. What people forget is that for every prediction he got half-right, there were 20 that were completely wrong. Atlantis and Egypt were both pretty fashionable subjects at the time too - he was guaranteed an audience if he banged on about that sort of crap.
The rest of the stuff, like the "axis shift" is just psuedo-christian BS.
dont mean to shit on the parade , but you do realise this mans name is "ed Cayce".........

funny. me and some friends were talking about this just this weekend. Its interesting that it has come up.. kinda a synchronicity in my world, so to speak. I dont know if i can just believe everything edgar cayce (pronounced cay-see
) says, but he has some interesting theories. He was a pretty normal methodist in his waking life, but he'd go into trances and come up with some strange shit. Also, theres some interesting astrological data pointing to and end-of-the-world experience in early 2008.
Of course, people have been predicting the end of the world since people have existed in organized groups. I believe that if there is an end of the world, it will be more of a process than an event.
In a way, its kind of comforting to think of the end of the world, if your like me and dont always want to take responsibility for your life
... Mad max would be far more fun than waiting in line at the bank to make a deposit...
