AFTERLIFE

(1978)

Animated short. An account of what the soul experiences after release from the body. A visionary picture of life after death, based on results of research and old myths.

Baise Moi

Bit late to the party with this one... it's been sat on my shelf for months, but it's definitely not my lady's cup of tea so it had to wait until she wasn't wanting to watch with me.

Good... it kind of flits from brilliant to a bit ropey... extremely low production values half give you a sense of gritty realism, but half make it look like a student project. The acting comes and goes as well... occasionally, the girls are totally believable; sometimes they come across as excuses to have the next sex scene.

The sex scenes are done well... amazed they can get through the censors with some of it, tbh... but they just about keep the balance between plotline and 'flesh for the sake of it'... the sex is very important to the storyline... and the French definitely know how to do fucked up screwing. The rape scene at the start is genuinely fucking horrible.

Best bits are them sitting around talking about how to be better serial killers.

the sex scenes just emphasise how delicate the main protagonists are when they succumb to their id. not a bad film, just a bit thelma and louise with fucking and drugs, it's very french. you can get away with a lot in cinema these days, in the anti-christ the lass cuts her clitoris off with a pair of rusty sheers.

I didn't even know this existed :?
I'm going to make it my life's mission to never watch it. The first one is a firm favourite.

it has this really annoying ginger woman (who sports that naslly american accent everyone hates, even americans) in place of william dafoe. it's just awful.

still, it reminded me about how cool it would be to quote latin before double tapping some scum bag in the back of the head.

Been meaning to watch it for ages. Rather enjoyed it, although it was about 7am when I put it on and I was pretty phased.

From the first half I've watched so far, its not so much a documentary on LeBron James (which is good), but just a spot on documentary on how it is on a high school sports team and the effects from the media hyping kids up.
