This week at DUBBAGE we will be closing off this month with something very special to me.
We will be showcasing two members of the Dubbage family : SYMETREX & SURE SHOT. These two
are working very hard on completely different ends of the spectrum, and deserve the spotlight!
SYMETREX (Threshold,CT - Dubbage,CT)
One day, years ago, this guy showed up at the BMC open turntables, in Hartford, longside the one
Elzwerth, and that was a wrap. These two were quickly inducted into Threshold, and became
members of our crew. It was amazing because at the time Symetrex was spinning dubstep,
and I had also started spinning dubstep, but no one else had any clue what that even meant.
It was great to have someone to learn with, and to have someone who also shared this obession with
low end frequencies. Together we faced many challenges,like dancefloors with only five people on them
and we struggled to educate people about dubstep. This new style of music we became to love was vastly becoming
a curse word in the dnb scene. Through thick and thin we prevailed, pumping out this new bass music onto
every dancefloor we possibly could. Slowly people started to give up their preconceived notions about this music,
and finally gave in. This is all really just a tale of courage and determination, and Symetrex I salute you for
that. It was an honor, and still is an honor to represent Dubstep beside you!! Dubbage make some noise for
my bredren Zack Symetrex! Dubstep is here to stay now!! We ain't going anywhere!! Welcome back home Symetrex!!

SURE SHOT (Threshold,CT - Dubbage,CT)
More well known as his Pseudonym "Detroit Mike", this guy is ready to burn Babylon to the ground! Growing up around
Detroit techno, jungle, dnb, idm, breakcore, hip hop and other experimental styles, Mike's selection is MASSIVE! Very
eager to please a crowd, he study's the art of selection more than anyone I know. He seriously wants to blow your mind on
the dance floor and drop that choon that you thought about dropping but never did. Recently obsessing with Ragga Mashup styles
and hip hop anthems, get ready to bruk out and skank to the riddims Sure Shot has in store for us. Lets yo yo yo boh boh boh
until the lights turn on! Mike has been nothing but a soldier since he moved to Connecticut a few years back, and it has also
been an honor serving with him. This dedication and love for this music, is really what it is all about. It moves us,
it fuels us, it gives our lives meaning, and it brings us all together!! Dubbage family, lets give it up for the Sure Shot aka Detroit Mike!!
