New Guy
So I'm new to Dubstep. I live in Michigan, and I was introduced to dubstep about a month ago and ever since have been downloading every mix and every track I can get my hands on. I love it.
But I'm not so sure I know what dubstep is just yet. Is there someone who could explain it all to me? I don't want to be annoying with this question, but I want to know exactly what it is, so I'm not just another one of those wobble bass loving fans.

Re: New Guy
keep doing what your doing. get on the mixes and check the tracklistings. radio shows are good to find new stuff that you wouldnt normally stumble across. try sub.fm

The more dubstep you soak up, the more you'll realise what it is, and how it sounds.
It's so incredibly varied, that to sum it up with even an entire wikipedia page, wouldn't do it justice. Not a jot.
You can find out where it came from, and you can hazard a guess as to where it'll go - but you can't define it easily.
I'd need an array of different styles of tracks from a vareity of producers before I could even touch the surface of describing the sound to someone.
