I'd say in the original video, the old dude was paying to get his shoes shined by a black dude and then got on the bus. The other black dude then asked him why a black dude had to be shining his shoes, and the old man said it could be anyone - that he wasn't racist.

I don't think the old dude just asked some random black dude to spit shine his shoes for no reason.
