I've been using ableton for a long long time now & recently purchased the Novation Launchpad and a Korg Nano Kontrol.
I only just had a look into the APC40 and read some positive things about it, and wondered what everyone else thought of it?
And also if anyone wants to either buy my launchpad and kontrol im open to offers

dont sell your Launchpad! just use it in conjunction with your APC40 (which you should get).
the APC40 is awesome and the faders and encoders give it a slight edge over the Launchpad: however, the Launchpad's biggest advantage is the much larger pads and it generally looks a lot cooler when the lights are out, too.
my apologies for the shameless plug, but i got a review copy of the Launchpad and subsequently wrote a review of it:

			Yeah nice review!
I only really wanna sell the launchpad because the apc40 looks like it can do what the launchpad does already as in triggering clips etc.
The volume and send a/b stuff isnt really helpful at all because you can only control it through blocks which = wank.
Plus the apc looks fit aswell

yeah, the Ohm is cool, but considerably more expensive than the APC40 or Launchpad.

I got an APC40 last year for my 21st birthday and it's a massive upgrade from using a MIDI keyboard to trigger clips I'll tell thee
Really great piece of hardware and I'm looking to push it further than I currently am

i love my apc40. it is a great tool live and while producing. my only complaint, and where i think the launchpad wins, is the inclusion of an ac adapter. since the launchpad is usb powered and apc40 is not, the launchpad seems more mobile.
my only other caution is...
i use a 4 deck setup inside ableton for live sets... and it can be a bit overkill if u are playing live this way. i wish the apc20 had knobs. once you custom map the apc40 though, it is a great piece of kit.

Besides Knobs and faders you can do way more on the launch pad.
