and max that tunes sick, distortion on the vocals is a great idea but theres a bit too much imo. otherwise its big.
Dude, this has the potential to be an awesome track but at the moment it seems to be lacking energy... Something in your frequency range is really lacking, you could do with more treble like some harsh hi hats for a start (in my opinion, others may disagree)...Max4Beats wrote:Feedback please
sorry bout the big text I just really want feedback on this, I have a feeling people will like it

Any criticism is welcome
Not disrespect dedman's advice but I believe doing this would be slightly counteractive. You should address the issues from the source, eg your synth and really think about how you would like the lead to sound, listen to some similar tracks and compare the lead sounds. Nero makes stuff with a slightly similar idea, stuff like 'Blinded By The Lights Remix' is worth a listen for comparison.dedman wrote:cheers max, will certainly return the favour!

0.33 - i like the drop but i feel like the bass could be a bit dirtier.. maybe try some chorus/bitcrushing combos and a saturator?
From the drop you need less reverb and more sub bass manDubSac wrote:Hey guys, just finished a new track. Feedback would be awesome. cheers guy.!

You need to make sure your lead sound is dominating the majority of the frequency range, without getting in the way of everything else. This is not at all easy but the lead in this track is a big part of it.
Here's my full advice of how to make this track better -
1. Reprogram the synth to something more dominating.
2. Change your Hat samples to something more intense with plenty of attack transients, standard 909 hats will do as an example.
3. MIx your track so that the dominant parts are further forward, then mix everything else to suit them. For example, mix your Kick and Snare to -8dB then from there on mix from the bottom of the frequency spectrum upwards. In this particular track I would recommend mixing Kick and snare first, the sub bass, then lead bass, then anything else, then hats. The entire mix should end up peaking between -6 and -3dB. This should help you get a perspective of how the dynamics of the track should sound and you can then fine tune anything with EQ or effects.
The most important thing to do in this track is address your sounds from the source and make sure they're fat and warm before even processing and mixing them!
No sub bass again bro lol. If you're going to be producing Dubstep you need to get acquainted with using sub bass, it's THE most essential element...DubSac wrote:I fixed sum stuff on this track , here it is again. If anyone wants to review it that would be sick. thanks guys

All you need is any synth that supplies a sine wave and play it in the keyboard region which supplies frequencies of around 90Hz and under... See the main forum for plenty of info on how to make sub basses!

but i would like to know what you think of the main bass LFO speed/cut off and do you think that there is to much sub through out the track?

Feed back please

All i see is SHOOT THIS TRACK IS UNAVAILABLE *hmph*
WHOOP there it is (the track that is)... For starters, the intro kinda drags on maybe add some more sweeping effects or sounds. When the drop comes, the bass sounds out of tune from the synth, maybe its out of phase but i cant tell. The LFO doesn't quite hit on time either, its like a half step behind where it should (or where the listener would expect it to) be. I like the melody on the second drop a lot more, its what i was expecting to hear when the song started, so good job bringing it back. I could write an essay on things to work on but all criticism aside your off to a good start. I would sit down and take some time with this one, its got potential for sure, just needs to be cleaned up. hope i was of some help if you have any specific questions feel free to PM me. bigs!
drop surprised me, wasnt feeling it much until the crazy bassline. good tune
yeah sine wave + better, more energetic hi hats are both musts, good startDubSac wrote:I fixed sum stuff on this track , here it is again. If anyone wants to review it that would be sick. thanks guys

Needs some mid-range or hi melodies in there? Right now, it's not much more than riddim, bass and some dark ambient sounds in the background.frank grimes jr. wrote:I think this has potential for a remix, but I was waiting for the tune to start the whole time.Worker Ant wrote:Here's a remix/reproduction of dancehall deejay Turbulence's "Nah Sell Out." Maybe it's my headphones, but the entire tune sounded like an intro to me.
