Tbh, for a spliff, they would've just taken it and sent you on your way.

What did they stop you under out of interest? If it was for "prevention of terrorism" then the European Court of Human Rights deemed it illegal last month despite the Home Secretary telling the Met to carry on doing it... if you get stopped without proper cause in future let the policeman know he'll be taking a trip to Strasbourg if he carries out his search!
On the paper it said I was stopped for druuugs. I'm guessing that in Farringdon tube station they'll have just drug dogs, for all the ravers going to fabric.

Last night I dreamed a drug dog bit me in me arm. Would it have anything to do with this thread maybe?

Yeah, I've been in the car with a mate who got pulled over speeding before (Motorway) and just explained that we were listening to some DnB when the drop came in and he got a bit over-excited...

They let him off and suggested we listen to some Bach next time.

A few years back I bought a quarter and stuffed it in my wallet and on my way home I popped into the Spar and bought a few cans. I paid for the cans and threw my wallet into the carrier bag and went on my way. When I got home I went to cook something, and as I went to get a can to wash it down with I noticed my wallet was missing. My wallet had my Stiudent ID card init, bank cards, everything basically. I was gutted, I rang up my bank and stopped my cards and things but I was mostly furious abotu losing me weed.

Fast forward two days later and there's a knock on me door and this huge copper is stood there and I am alreading thinking, "oh fuck!". I opened the door and he goes, "you must be firky, yes?" I replied that I was and he handed me my wallet. I couldn't stop myself from grinning and he went, "you're lucky, and old lady found it on the street and handed it to me. You should find everything in there but I'll be keeping this" and at that moment he produced my quarter and the fucker gave me a wink and went on his way. Obviously I couldn't go "OI THATS MY WEED" or make a complaint or anything, the bastard. I don't know if he destroyed it or smoked it - do pigs have to do a piss test?

I guess they couldn't really charge me as I didn't have it on my person at teh time and I could say someone must have picked it up and then put their own weed in and then lost it blah blah

IME the older the copper the less inclined he is to make your day a shit one. If they're fresh out of Police school they're still trying to 'prove themselves'. All the shite I have had off coppers has been from the younger ones.

heheh, i've had that sort of thing happen to me before. Went to see my folks and somewhere along the line I lost my wallet. I was pretty fucked off but there wasn't any cash in there but there was a baggy with some mud in there (not much though).

Anyway, got a phone call a couple of days later to say that the police had found it but as they didnt want to drive from my parents location to where I live they asked if I could collect it. I shat myself there and then but I managed to compose myself and ask them to drop it round my parents (who I knew would be out) and drop it through the letter box. They did this and when I collected it a few days later everything was still in there minus the baggy. Probably a bit harsh to get my parents involved but they love it :)

As bad as people think the police are over here in UK and Europe, they are far harsher in the US.

Of course, this might have something to do with there being less chance over here of someone randomly pulling a gun out on you.

Got to say police in Belgium are friendly in general, in my opinion though. And it's true that if you cooperate and don't be a dick against them they wont be dicks to you...

BTW Belgian police are pussies from time to time. A whole riot crew here runs away from one guy with an AK that probably doesn't even work...

Yeah, same here.
cops here are really bad

age or not

i like it (sarcasm) how we all rationalize that there is some sort of myth that there is a difference between good cops and bad cops. they are all bad.. the whole idea of institutionalized authority is oppressive and without some sort of democratic process for people to choose that a certain individual can be assigned a gun and a badge with the power to determine the outcome of one's life is ridiculous. you dont need any kind of college degree to be a cop, nothing. i know we are talking about simple offenses like getting caught with weed but there is a bigger picture here.

also i hope you guys know, in essence police are here to protect rich people. thats how they were formed, back in early early rome, like 5th or 6th century. thats what they still are, then evolving into the policing slave patrols all around the world, and now they are what they are today which is really no different. they protect rich people, the state, and capitalism to exist to keep benefiting the rich.

one of my friends grew up in russia for a majority of his life, and he said everyone there where he grew up wanted to be police. the corruption was so bad, but it was a good job for people because if a cop wrote you a ticket, you are supposed to bribe them to make it go away. i guess thats common when over in russia. i thought to myself, shit if i was just able to bribe a cop to fuck off that would have saved my ass so many times  .

So how is that different or worse than allowing any random person to buy a gun? At least with these guys you *know* they have a gun and will use it. As opposed to some random disgruntled guy who could just pull out a gun and shoot you just because you happened to be walking by.

And would a college degree really help the situation either? Degrees don't make bad people good.

no degrees dont make people good, but the point im making is to become a police officer with the amount of power given to you really doesnt require much merit.

im not trying to get into an arguement about gun ownership, that was not my point, its how the job of the police is issued to give that individual the power to really fuck your life up, with a gun being visual to show you that he can pull it on you, kill you and get away with it. here-

watch this vid.

Me and a mate were standing outside of a building site and we had some whiteboard markets on us (13 yr old BADMANS) and drawing on the door of the building site and rubbing it off (doors were covered in a white emulsion paint so the whiteboard markers were easy to rub off).

Bobby on the beat came past and we were oblivious and he was like "what are you lads doing?" and we was drawing and rubbing it off infront of him but anyway, he walked us home to tell my mum and on the way we hurled loads of abuse calling him stupid clown hat etc etc anyway I was 13 and welll 'ard

Imo, degrees can help having a broader view on the things happening in this world.
