yep with studio you get logic pro and loads of other useful bits

if you can afford it get studio

if you're a student you can get it ridiculously cheaply (like the price of express) if you get it via your uni, apparently

Logic Express is the same as Logic Studio with less features. Logic Studio costs $500 and Express is $200. The cool thing is you can buy Express and upgrade to Studio for $300 later. I started off using Express for about a year before I got Studio. For the money, Express is a good deal.

Pro is included in Studio. Studio also comes with some other cool programs like Mainstage and Waveburner. Logic 8 was the last one that was sold by itself. When Logic 9 came out Apple started bundling it with some other programs and calling the whole thing Logic Studio.

Logic Express is still a good buy. It doesn't come with Mainstage (a live performance tool) and Soundtrack Pro (Cool Edit 2000 for editing audio) it also doesn't include the sound library of loops. here's further explanation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logic_Express
I think Logic Express is good enough and more than what I need.
