Can't feel the drums, need to layer that snare with another snare/white noise or a clap to give it the power to crack some jaws and EQ the kick so you can hear it as well as feel it. I also suggest layering your main bassline as well as putting a nice tight fat sub underneath it to make it more powerful. I do like the cheesy 80's type synth you got going on there but keep it up you can improve this song and make it alot better.Nucleophile wrote:Hey,

Here's what ive been working in the past day or two, any feed back would be appreciated,

If I compare your second track with mine, then you are geniusJTL wrote:Hey guys, this is my second go at production, and I feel it's better than my first by quite a way, but still of course pretty amateur.
If anyone could just have a QUICK look at it, I'd really appreciate ANY feedback at all. I will of course return the favour!

Maybe it needs a little bit better kick drum, the current one is too soft I think.KidQw3rty wrote:chill vibe, the horn track was some old school dub, good feel on this one.JTL wrote:Hey guys, this is my second go at production, and I feel it's better than my first by quite a way, but still of course pretty amateur.

I've added some vocals onto this track changed the arrangement a bit and did some panning, vocals are a wiley stem I found, anyone able to let me know what they think? I actually think they go out of time slightly toward the midsection lyrics.
So boys, feedback for a complete newb? Thanks as always!

Vocals sound clean, everything else just needs to be built on in my opinion (which is subjective)
For example, 0:39-0:41 id have some sort of sub pumping square LFO smacking you in the face as it builds to the next group of bars.

Sorry about not getting back to you before mate. I meant the bass, I get the feeling you're going for something fairly heavy, so that bass needs fattening up a bit. Doesnt need to wobble maybe this track doesnt need that, but it needs some fuzz in my opinion. Keep going mate the songs well written and production will come in time

I dig the intro, around 2 minutes it starts getting a little fuzzy im not sure if I like that synth so it drops off a little then picks it back up againKidQw3rty wrote:hey, just started on this tonight, any feedback would be appreciated. still need to add another synth part.

Definatley liking that bouncey groove, whack a bit of distortion over that bass to make it filllthhh. Also, I think the snare could do with another couple of layers maybe a big snap, a clap and an 808 snare compress it up and snip of the end an you'll have a nice PFFTTCCLACK.
Re: PUT YOUR WORKS-IN-PROGRESS HERE FOR FEEDBACK.
Liking it, my favourite bit is from 1.37 drop it in earlier! Also as far as the beepy lead is concerned try using a bit of arpeggio to get more of a 8 bit blip sound I recon that'll go well. The Phantom Banger wrote:Soundcloud

Definatley liking that people aren't just doing reverb-snared generic wobble-step, keep it up!

It's called Super satan......in my soundcloud and myspace player. I can't seem to figure out how to put it on the thread.

Really feelin that first track, my only criticisim (bad spelling) would be that the hats/cymbals seem to dominate the track.Muta wrote:Hey guys :]
