Renoise

i rewire Renoise into Logic, but more and more i find myself doing 90% of all the shit in Renoise and just using Logic for its effects. I needed it badly, writing drums like I do went from 2-3 day sessions in Logic's Ultrabeat to a couple of hours in renoise on that switch.

don't write constantly varying breakcore/idm-style drums in ultrabeat unless you actually want to hate your own music for months

I purchased Renoise the other night after reading this thread and also just wanted to try it out and wanted something else other than FL. I have it Rewired into FL studio. Still getting the hang of it but so far i can say i made the right choice, i just find it easier to make varied drums rather than advancing on loops each time etc. like i did in fl studio.

i'll spend anywhere from 2 to 8 hours on a tune, and i feel like maybe im being lazy sometimes, but then i remember that im doing stuff quickly enough in renoise, its probably the equivalent of spending like 12 hours in logic or something. i dont know.. good program tho, and i'm glad you bought it!

People ask me if i'm getting a commission when i tell them how much i like renoise, im so damn enthusiastic about it.

yeah... i swear tracking a full dubstep takes abt 20 minutes max (if you get really complex with our delay columns) where as that would take atleast 2-3 hours in a horizontal sequencer... and the internal fx are top notch...

fan boy here too obviously... but guys don't use renoise... otherwise youll be able to have a really fast workflow like me which would suck quite alot

I have been on Trackers since I was 10 years old (nearly 31 now).

Started on Sound Tracker on the Amiga, moved through ProTracker, MED, OctaMED, FTII, and then Renoise.

Renoise is IMMENSE.

Best designed software audio tool out there.
