What does this have to do with dubstep? You need two turntables and a mixer. I'd recommend 2nd hand technics.

Jesus Christ..... Some people on here are just so damn helpful!!!!!! Its a simple question guys, dont be such a bunch of bell ends.

Okay here goes:

2 x Direct drive turntables (NOT BELT DRIVES THEY ARE SHITE) Popular makes - Technics, Numark, Stanton.

And/Or - 2 x cd decks.

1 x Mixer recommend pioneer DJM500 if you have the £££

2 x Powered speakers OR 2 x passive speakers and 1 x Amp.

1 x Pair headphones (Sony make some good cheap ones)

2 x Slipmats (Sometimes come with the decks, get plain ones not ones with shit loads of colourful print on them as it rubs off and looks shite)

1 x Deck stand to put the whole lot on (About £80 from Ebay)

2 x Spare styli (needles) Get the best that you can afford. Concorde style (Google it) are the choice for most Dj's.

Records/Cds to mix with (Obviously)

Cables to connect decks to amp etc

And that is about it. You may want to get an instructional book to take you through the baiscs of beatmatching etc. Recommend "How to DJ properly" By Frank Broughton and Bill Brewster.

Good luck!

2X Wndows media player.... then what JFK said...

Learn basic matching digital though yo, make sure DJing is for you. Dont have too dive headfirst too beatmatch a few basic sets up, then after that, you can dive headsecond or w/e...
