Time stretching notes in FL 8

Is there a way I can timestretch individual notes in the piano roll within one channel?

Loading the required sample into the Granulizer would work. Unless yer talking about having a different setting for each individual note..

The only way I can think of doing it is to load the sample into Direct Wave. Load it as many times as you wish to timestretch it. Then use drum mapping. Select the first one and in the Zone window go to Time and set it to your wishes. Repeat as many times as you wish for each sample you loaded. Be sure to make sure that Current Selection is on and not Global.

Well, say I have the piano roll open and draw in four notes. I want to time stretch one of the notes within that instance of the piano roll and keep the other three as they are.

Timestretch= stretch a piece of audio too a different lenth while not effecting its pitch...
Why would you need too do this when its all the more ideal too just draw the piano note longer?
And if you wanted too timestretch one, whats the problem with clipping it too audio, and using the audio clips default timestretcher from there?
And is it a synth you are trying too stretch, or a sample?

Oh right. I was using the wrong terminology then. I want to stretch it to make the sound longer and slower and change the pitch. Like when you alter the time knob on the fl sampler.

I still think your gonna have to resample, timestretch/pitchcorrect as you please, and yeah...Ever notice you gotta let FL calculate the timestretches? It cant do that shit live...

Just pitch your note down and extend its piano roll note, or resample the hit on the piano roll, timestretch it, and play it in.

FL can pitch live, not timestretch completely though. That requires clipping to audio for sure.

There are a lot of ways that you can do what you want to do. But to get this to sound exactly like the time stretch, you could resample the sound, and either put the audio in the playlist or into a sampler.

You could also do this-

create a layer in the step sequencer

Create as many instances of the sound you want in the step sequencer. Key map them so they only play on certain keys of the keyboard.

For the one instance/note that you want to stretch, just turn the time knob to the point that you want it.

Select all the instances and set them as children for the layer.

Then click on the layer, and you can play it in your keyboard.

Gotta remember that flstudio at its heart is a sampler + a sequencer.
