i'm not feeling this guy, at all, but what gives you to the right to say what is or what isn't dubstep? the only qualifier for dubstep is the bpm and the bass

Go have a look at the bpm of some of his tunes all over the show, 105, 162... hardly 70 or 140.

Hes still a good dude, my mates are all over his music.

i personally dont get it at all. The guy prob does have some production skills, But Sierra leone is an un educated track, wrong bass melody structure for the main sample, and a general ignorance of arrangement.
This track should not have received the hype it got. the idea was got, just executed poorly

i'm sure loads of these idiots that only heard of dubstep 6 months ago at best refer to mt eden a dubstep...isn't that them saying what is and isn't dubstep a much as someone saying he isn't?

they say he is others say he isn't yadayada

and breakbeat hasn't been good since 2003

i loved koma + bones, tipper, si begg, lawgiverz, stanton warriors, blim, kosmikneil & cold fusion mafia

The internet helped dubstep and MT. Eden is a side effect to that success

2 step is the tempo that to me is hugely untapped...

loads of scope for experimentation....breakbeat peaked imo...

yeah im a fan of pinch, martyn, trg, ramadanman etc.. but 2step producers and fans get pissed off when wobble and filth is mixed with 2step beats i swear..

its like some next tnuc trying to remix burial.... and we're back to square one.

Mt eden is a dickhead who steals shit from everyone, can't even make 1 track by himself using only his own samples!
