Idea for the first dubstep forumsplace production comp......

Post by protocolx » Fri Oct 14, 2005 11:55 pm

i was thinkin with all the producers on here we need a comp.. im not talkin major competitve.. n e 1 can enter... suttin just to keep us occupied for the week..yeah/?

an idea i had was maybe sum 1 supply a vocal sample(or a few peeps cud) then poll for 1 (film sample)
then we have a theme for the trak. another rule i was thinkin was that there has to be 5 elements to the trak minimum.. not inc vocal sample and breaks.. u wud be allowed to rework the same sound and it can be classed as 2 elements.. for eq an 808 kik bass.. 1 cud be sub norm 808 another dist and filtered..

1 more i dunno how this wud work exactly but maybe when people enter.. they shud enter anonamously for a bit.. 2 even out voting.....

basically imo a loefah trak is better cos hes produced it u get me?
if it not say loefah-----trak title xxx but instead -----trak titlexxx
(EDIT) ONLY SAID LOEFAH COS HE WAS THE FIRST NAME THAT CAME INTO MY HEAD...

sum 1 wud need to kinda keep control of this though.. so 1 - 2 peeps know whos traks are whos..

Any1 interested?

any changes or ANYTHING u wanna add............

i was thinkin dubway is the man to take charge of this.. if ure up for it!!!

if this is the most wanky comp idea ever then please say.... lol

Yeah, I'm hella down. I'm about to finish up a dubstep refix of Nicky Prince's "Sunshine".
She's having a remix contest due next week.
Bigtime judges as well!

If you click on the banner in my last post, there's a link on her page to the forum where the contest is being held. I thought it'd be bad form to post an ad for a different forum, being that I'm a newbie on this one.
