Check out Under the Radar and see if they're doing an event near you. They put on pretty incredible line-ups for under 18s.

Good line-up or not it'll still be bad vibes. And I heard that DJs are asked to play a specific setlist, which wouldn't surprise me they always drop the baitest tracks.

I agree that it probably is because there would be too much trouble controlling the alcohol etc between such a large age group, it's a shame such a reason purely for making money ruins it for a lot of people.

Make my own events? i wish.... where would i possibly start with that?

Cuz 16ers have a rave mentality and everyone else at a dubstep night isn't always lookin to straight party.

Hey, Im Mouch. I run UTR and just wanted to clear up a few things.

We never ask DJ's to play from a set list. We never would! That statment is just rubbish

Yes the events we put on are are not £5. The average price is £20 (Although you can get early birds for £17 which is £2 more than Ram / Rinse vs Fwd etc...)

The reason for this is because the clubs get no revenue at the bar. We (The promoter) subsequently have to make up the difference. So if your average 18+ punter goes out on a night pays their £10-£15 entry and then goes and buys drinks throughout the night (£10-£15) The club have takent their £10-15 and the promoters their £10-15.

It is just the way it is. We also run a different night called Mashed up that does not have a big line up as is filled with upcoming DJ's and residents and is priced at £8 /10 tickets.

Just wanted to clear a few things up... dont want to get dragged into any online arguments etc...

You don't really have dubstep "gigs" though, do you? Dubstep gets played by djs at club nights, which are virtually always 18+.

We dont really do Gigs no... We do Club Nights.

Im not sure i get what you mean by Gigs though.

Something that starts at 7 ends at 11 and is more along the lines of an Indie gig

Give me an idea of what you would want.. well see if we can make it happen..

The whole concept of a club is tht the alcohol is the main factor in it...if clubs were 16+ then the clubs dont earn bk enough money thts spent..its got nothing 2 do with dubstep to be honest...just government rules.
