Two people have said my recent track, which whilst being far from finished/amazing, is my best so I know I'm also progressing.

Well done btw TPB. Keep at it.

Just listened to the tune in your sig Phantom, nice vibes......

I'd also like to thank the peeps at DSF because without you I don't think I'd have learnt half as much, no, a quarter as much.

No names mentioned because I don't want egos to swell  but there's regulars on here that I've listened to and thought "I want to be as good as them"

Much love the DSF crew, this place is gold.

I've been producing 'seriously' for about 7 months now i'd say, dubstep for about 5 or 6 of them. When i say seriously i mean instead of just throwing sounds about and using presets, trying to create my own stuff and actually learn about the effects i'm using.

Had stupidly good response to the first real track i finished, released on Analogic Recordings very shortly.

Apart from that, i've just been keeping quiet and trying to learn as much as possible. It's kinda hard (but not complaining!) when the first thing you do has an alright response, as you want to improve on that with your next track but it's hard to keep a level of consistency this early.

Anyway just biding my time, will hopefully have some new stuff out soon. If anyone wants the buy link when Bow Folk is released let me know. Being mastered at the moment and has totally different drums and drops to what you've heard so far.

yeah im in the same boat bro, ive been doing it pretty casually for bout 6 months and im startin to feel like im gettin direction with my beats. got my first dj set comin up, and i just finished a track tonight with my best attempt at mixin it down and it sounds leaps and bounds better than the track in my sig (no mix). :z: i cant wait to start at audio school and get a proper understanding cos im pretty much self taught and with the production forum on here givin me tips aswell

Bow Folk is a good tune. I've seen it in at least one mix, and I'll check out the mastered version.

I think I was a bit noobish at the start and making tracks of no real quality and "pushing them out" too quickly. Now I'm more patient, I've listened to a lot more dubstep, and I know what's good.

I tend to upload the WIPs on Soundcloud in stages and then get a point where I've got as good a final version.

Not yet made a track what I can say will "make me" and I'm quite far from that stage but with every track I make the elements are there....just gotta pull them together for one big track now.
