I always save my work as a layer based photoshop file .PSD, a maximum resolution, 300dpi .JPG, a smaller low resolution .JPG for uploading onto various sites and a hi res, 300dpi .PDF for the ones that go to the print shop.horse wrote:i deal almost exclusively in JPEGsDutchstep wrote:never ever save as JPG
why would you never save in JPEG?

not with things like this:jiba wrote:I always save my work as a layer based photoshop file .PSD, a maximum resolution, 300dpi .JPG, a smaller low resolution .JPG for uploading onto various sites and a hi res, 300dpi .PDF for the ones that go to the print shop.horse wrote:i deal almost exclusively in JPEGsDutchstep wrote:never ever save as JPG

What is your reasoning for not saving in JPEG Dutchstep? I do know that my colours alter ever so slightly for each of these 3 different file formats, and JPEGs are of a slightly lower quality, but at 300dpi you would have to be blowing it up to the size of a giant building to notice any major discrepancies imo.
