unbelievably awesome film. completely twisted me right out
still cant get my head round it now. so good.

dont be fooled by the trailer... this is not a slash and hack "horror"

Image
i have to say i was kinda put off from past experiences with horror films on ships...... especially ghost ship. might have to look into this one though after hearing your verdict
just finished watching it, i love the concept and the performance by that woman was pretty well done... i just wasn't baffled by the ending. If you like that kinda 'what the fuck just happened' feeling at the end of a film check out momento

Is that actually about Fermat and/or the solving of the theorem or is it just any old thriller that wanted a Maths reference??

Decent. In fact, pretty damn good for the first 3/4 of the movie or something; some genuinely unsettling scenes and the girl who plays the lead is brilliant.

The ending is waaayyy too drawn out though, could've been 40 minutes shorter probably.

I haven't read the book unlike everyone else in the entire world apparently, but my lady said it was "different but still good".

yea they did a good job but listen to your lady - the book is brilliant and if you can't be arsed with the first get on to the second book.

Was a nice idea but full of plotholes, SPOILER highlight it

if it had been going round like that for ages, hence all the bodies on the boat, and all the dead seagulls, then why didn't she know who was wearing the sack at the beginning and killing everyone?

Thought this was heavy. Went to see it cos Shutter Island was sold out.

I liked the ending, it wld have been too 'Hollywood' just to end it at the obvious place, the extra bit was a good edge and paralleled well with the landscape of Norway (there was a lot going with 'landscape' in this film!)

*Not for the feint-hearted tho and def not a date movie lol
