THE SUBDIVISION is a crew of two, began releasing dubstep tunes in 2007, while both producers were living in Italy. Known for their cinematic style and epic tracks, they have released tunes on Mode Recs, True Tiger Recs, Terminal Dusk Recs, Dubkraft Recs, Dubstep Recs, and their own label, Paradise Lost Recs. The stable of artists represented on the label include: Djunya, Wedge, Parson, Saviour, Dubtek, Vesicle, Roguestar, RRKK, Kaskaad, and Excision, TKR, Lone Wolf, Droid Sector, among others.
Moody G from The SubDivision, recently relocated to the NW from Hawaii, is the DJ arm of the duo and will be gracing the decks.
Expect to be barraged with fresh dubs as The SubDivision introduce the PDX to the Paradise Lost sound.
PARAZZITO aka Serhiy hails from Lviv, Україна (Ukraine!)
We first met Serge after seeing a series of pictures he took at Various in November 2009. We got to know him a little at the time before he returned home to Ukraine and we kept in touch. Somewhere in the interim, he sent us a mix and we liked it so much that we decided to plug him into the Various Sound Machine upon his return!
Here's a little more about Serge, in his own words:
"My first passion to electronic music started in late 90s from listening to old school jungle and drum and bass music and visiting dedicated local parties in Lviv, Ukraine. For quite a long time I was recording different dnb and breaks compilations and shared them between my friends. I started playing music in public about a year ago on some events I'm running with my friends in one small but very neat place in Lviv. My dj preferences are quite wide at the moment and go over 2-step, ukg, future garage, grime into deep and dark sides of dubstep and techno."
