Personally, I don't like the sponsorship idea very much- only my opinion though. It seems ideologically opposed to the purposes of a community-produced project.

-> I agree with you. I don't want Ronald Mc Donald to promote his shit with a dubstep background in a commercial :?

takomo is in.

hope you can get the server running. neurofunk.net would be available if i'd have enough time to do configurations or enough money to pay for the excess traffic..

it is only working on small (<2mb files) at the moment

Am learning how to do the technical server gubbions to change this... expect to get it sorted in the next day or so.
secretagentgel uploaded a track that was 7.32 MB so I don't think that size is an issue. it didn't work earlier because when you changed the ftp password I forgot to change it in the script. it should work now and let me know if it doesn't!

Andy, is there anyway of checking what is on the server? Because I set a 320 to upload last night,, knew it was going to take ages so went and made dinner. But I didn't see any confirmation screen or anything. Any ideas?

There should be a file saying 'Forsaken-Thunder320.mp3' or somesuch if it is there and it should be about 10/11 megs.

Would it be better if I just hosted 192 or 256's off my own server and put up links in this thread and if any of the tracks get selected just submit the 320 too whoever is doing it?

I'll get digi diana to modify the script to list uploaded tracks.

I'm afraid there's no file with "forsaken" in the title there yet... what speed is your connection?

In addition to there being a setting for maximum file size allowed, there is also a timer setting that cancels a transfer if it takes longer than X seconds. You should try changing the max_input_time and max_execution_time variables in the php.ini file, as well as Apache's Timeout directive (i dunno how that last one gets changed).

Yeah I got a ten meg but it's been real choppy the last couple of nights, what I can do is stick the mp3's up on my own server link them in that other thread and password them. Might take some strain of your server?

nah, all of the songs should be uploaded into one place so they can all be judged at once when that time comes. I don't think it is much of a strain on Andy's server because it's not like a bunch of people are trying to upload at once; the server just needs to be tweaked a little bit.
sorry for the inconvenience!
