Yeah get it cleaned up a bit and I'm sure it'll sound a lot different! I have that problem all too often, I'm quite shit shit at cleaning things up to be honest. :lol:

@Muta - Nice track so far but i kinda agree about the reverse glitchy sounds... not so keen on them, but its pretty good so far!
@soulshynchyld - Really like that, nice and dreamy-like (sorry i never know any words to describe dubstep other than filthy xD)

Heres my latest. I took everyones advice on things, such as using different drum samples, and i made this using a different VST, so hopefully its generally better than my other stuff. Check it out:

Any feedback, tips and comments would be greatly appreciated.

aftee wrote:synthlf - definitely my favorite of all the tunes i've heard in here, very laid-back good feeling from it, great track!

tripwire - definitely good. Takes "wobble" to a different spot, always nice to hear that out of a hype-up tune.

soulshynchyld - i was definitely feeling the intro/initial drop. Bass is heavy on that! When that wobble came in it just felt a bit out of place though. Felt like it was a very mellowed out tune but the wobble that came in was a bit harsh/didn't belong. Just my opinion on it. Other than that I think it's great though!
lol ya heard the old version... i gota delete that...listen to its evolution---resonate minds!!chea

Feedback on this please,deep dubstep sound,(sorry bout the snare being too harsh,i shall fix that).Shall leave feedback when i get in this evening on whomever leaves feedback for this,cheers.J
hey man, good idea, but i can't find a soul in your tune.
you know what i mean?

i'm not talking bout the technical thing, i'm talking about the thing inside the track.. maybe give it some more athmosphere in the higher frequencies... or a voice, with a shitload of reverb for example... dunno... but something's missing.

also you seen it right, the snare is horribly harsh. and the rythm misses creativity. get rid of the formula! snare on the 3rd is boring, make some shuffles! also the kick needs a bit more room. did you sidechain the bass?
sit again on it. the stuff you have is good, you just have to use it in a other way.

well that's in the end just my subjective view of it, so don't take it too serious!

this one, just started.... it's just the first minute....

@ soulshynchyld:
Resonant minds is great stuff bro, very chill, the kind of stuff i listen to when i want to think and contemplate. I couldnt really think of anything that you should change. The sounds are balanced, nice ambient fills and a solid drum beat. Maybe you could throw in a couple drum fills or something just to change up the beat ocassionally, but it wouldnt really be necessary. All in all thats a well rounded track! bigups :D

@cleanexecution:
diggin that sand badgers song bro, I like the intro kinda feels like an asian/indian mixture or something which i dig. I really like the hang before your first drop, just needs something additional to make that drop explode, a heavy crash or something to just make it pop out in your face. I like your sound and wobbles, could use a bit more sub in my opinion (but i am a sub addict)
I like your drums a lot. but im a firm believer that a second drop shouldnt be the same as the first, so i would just say use a different synth and keep your wobs the same but mix it up on the second drop.
Overall it's a good track just keep at it :D

@Cynical:
i love your track dude, very ambient, lots of drums, well balanced sound. the end of the song ties it all in really well. you use the vocal clip a lot, but it doesnt get boring or overly repetitive. i wouldnt consider that a work in progress personally, you might be able to fart around with the mix a bit but personally that's a finished track in my opinion.

Please give me feedback on my track in progress, its a semi grimey dub track using the vocals from Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing" song. The mix needs help, and the drums are just placeholders, but any feedback as to what should be added/changed will be taken into consideration.

This is my first track using Massive, and it was done my first time using massive.

(how do i post the visual widget for the song?)

Anyone who leaves comments on my soundcloud, i'll do the same for you :D Bigup

Chilling toon, nice FX throughout.
I feel asthough you need a bassline to hold your track together though, maybe its just my style of dubstep and not what you were going for though.
At any rate nice production value keep it up.

This one i made this afternoon in about two hours. Do you guys think it needs another part or somesing like that?

first of all,cheers for the detailed feedback man,i have to admit,im shite with drums/drum programming,its one of them things i need to spend more time on but i havent been producing long so got plenty of time,its funny u said about the voice thing i did have a jfk speech in it but decided kind of last minte to remove it,gona re think it now i think.it does need a bit of work man,i dont get what u mean about sidechaining the bass?i havent but shud i?Anyways cheers for the feedback.

Rite now ur track, i really like the intro,the build to it is really nice,the bass drop at 40secs is nice aswell,maybe a bit overpowering at times,but i think the more id listen to it maybe the more it wudnt seem overpowering if that makes sense,i definetly think its got great potential and you should get it finished,really nice sound of it so far,good work,maybe in terms of taking it further,wud be nice to hear a bit more of the vocal later and moody atmospherics,but its ur track,i like it fair play.
