Birmingham is the exception to every musical rule....

Factory club is closing down, Tempest records is closing down, all because nobody supports the events, and more importantly promoters don't push it enough.

There is loads out there just not too much in Brum.

nahh give this guy a chance. He has got a point, i came to uni here a year ago and the dubstep scene was beyond weak! i went to see rusko at Rainbow warehouse and the guy before him played Craig David!!!
afterwards i was utterly disappointed, if not disturbed.

but it has picked up in my second year of uni, but moved to the more tear out side, likes of trolley snatcha, datsik doctor p etc. I'm not a massive fan but there are some 'better' nights out... like tomorrow night Kryptic Minds are playing with Youngsta! and a pretty strong supporting cast.

but when he says Custard Factory and Rainbow are the only places, its not quite true.
yes, these are the main places but there as so many smaller places to go, for example the Hare & Hounds Pub in Kings Heath and another pub in Mosely (cant remember the name now!).
you just gotta look pal.

Dubmatic is on every other Thursday at the Rainbow Pub, (i often play there so come down ;) haha)

yeh pretty true here..
its such a shame that it is closing, they will be moving to Space2 which in my opinion is far too big!
even bigger shame is that they are closing down the pool!!!!!! :q: where else can you rave with 1000's of people in an empty swimming pool?!?! i think its only open for special events.. but they will be once in a blue moon.

nothing is wrong with craig david.

just in my opinion, coming from dances like DMZ and FWD, craig david is never in the equation.
