I know that the proper thing to say is "well that's just your opinion"... but deep down, I need to let the person know how big of a douchebag they are for wanting to argue about music in the first place like that. You can take any music ANYONE listens to, and if you were to show it to ten random folk on the street, a few of them are going to find the music funny, or not good. Musical tastes are pretty subjective, and anyone with enough intelligence to comprehend the time spent on making different styles of music wouldn't open their pussy and talk shit about it. yes man, inspiration through ridicule is a great way to go!! for me personally though, i like to be patient with people who are new to something i'm well versed in. If it weren't for the easy going and honest discussions i had on this board in early 2006 I wouldn't have found half the stuff i'm into now... but then again, to me it's JUST DANCE MUSIC, so i don't get all high and mighty about it...
