Where are all the dubstep women?!

Post by freakah » Sun Mar 28, 2010 9:14 pm

Struck me recently on my never-ending hunt for a girl that'll have me  , where are all the girls who are into dubstep?!

When I meet some new girls and it gets to music and I start talking about dubstep, I get a: ' :o what's that?!' reaction...

It's a very male-dominated genre, maybe in the height of all this 'brostep' stuff, but there's gotta be some women out there who like it?!

Anyone else know what I mean?

yes but do remember that there are many good women producers

ikonika for example..

there was a very long thread on this subject a while back.

There are quite a few females that carry the sound, and Redfoxx has been in the studio producing quite a few bits I'll be playing at the next Sin City event. But it's true with any music genre that doesn't open it's door to different inputs easily ti will remain a male dominated scene, but that's changing slowly.

There were enough females at the Get Darker launch party

I personally know 7 girls who are into dubstep.

But don't ever ask me for relationship advice.

With some of the responses i get now i miss the days when the girl i was talking to didn't know what it was. :(
A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be.

If I meet a girl and I mention dubstep and she mentions borgore, I'm out of there - quit whilst I'm ahead...

I used to bring a large sack to all the DJ's I went too, and trap all the cute girls in it.
After the party, I'd empty the sack of all the underaged girls
Then I'd have a good critical look at the contents of the bag and make a selection.

I had to lower my standard to under 16 year old girls last year.
There were only two chicks left in the bag and one had dreadlocks and the other was a goth.

At the last DJ, Caspa was playing mind you, the bag was empty after the primary selection.

I just bagged Chefal instead because he's so cute.

yep, if anything females seem to prefer that sort of thing to the deeper softer tunes. My flatmate who's incredibly fit only listens to stuff like borgore/broken note unfortunately.
