many venues with sound systems installed in the last 5 years have crossovers being run by computers.

YAMAHA DME, Meyer Galileo.... and those are just two examples of computer software/hardware combos that can serve as your crossover. usually in this scenario speakers are self-powered though so there is no need for a power amp. instead you have gain stages to monitor and control your input and output levels, all inside a computer

some DJ only venues probably still will go for all analog, but in the live music world, digital is taking over.

Very excited for this! From what i've read, everyone has made it out like it's going to be difficult to get a copy. Share your secrets, what's involved in a preorder (ie where from??).. will I be able to buy this off Chemical Records like I've done with 95% of my records (cheapest option for Australia I've found so far).

Anyway, congratulations to Mala.. the hype for this is amazing!

Chemical doesn't do pre-orders, redeye records does.

Also I know I'm repeating myself but I'm pretty sure there isn't going to be a pre-order. First of all, it's dmz. Second, it's a limited release, if they did a pre order on it everything would be sold out before it even gets released.

I'm sure most of you are getting your knickers in far too much of a twist about being able to grab a copy... I'm sure they have a good idea of how many to press to meet demand, it's only in a few years time you'll have a problem!

Nah i can see this being sold out instantly, The limited Deep Medi release by Silkie and mizz beats was limited to 700, it sold out on the first day, I'm thinking that Return to space will be probably be 1000. Anything that is linked to Mala goes so fast, especially his own releases. However everyone panicked about getting a copy of Ringo008 which was a bit silly. People seriously can't sleep on this one though

All we know is that it is dropping early may, we don't know if it is going to be on preorder. Best advice is to check http://www.stholdings.co.uk/ every Friday for the latest release sheets (Nearer to May). It's up to you if you want to check red eye but if you don't get it on preorder there then it don't really matter because a lot of other places will have it on stock when it is available. It's just a case of checking that St holdings sheet and keeping a close eye on checmical, boomkat, juno etc

redeye let us pre-order the repressed dmz's, so who knows... definitely don't think this will be difficult to acquire
