Reggae skank question!?
The search function wasn't really giving me any help so I thought I would ask, I want to know how to make those distant reggae chords as heard in kode9-Sine Ive been tampering with piano sounds and various effects but cant seem to nail it.

put it on like a 1/3 delay and high feedback... then your rolling
Plus
If it dont sound big enough, add more notes into your chord.

Re: Reggae skank question!?
try an electric piano like a fender rhodes, and layer up delays

						Re: Reggae skank question!?
for a good skank you need a spring reverb, good tapedelay and phaser and try to detune your piano/guitar a bit. ad some distortion or guitar amp for some more gritty sound
and try to experiment with the order of effects.

Re: Reggae skank question!?
There is a formula for proper skank sounds, but I'm not telling. Keep pushing, keep experimenting. Develop your way of making a skank sound.

the chord is played muted (by applying little pressure gently to the strings and hit 'em hard) . Then the sound travels through a delay and then the reverb...
Micha, this plugin sounds very good... Is it a cpu hog?

Re: Reggae skank question!?
Is that a new version or an old version of dubstation? Mine don't look like that.deadly habit wrote:
