Re: Top 5 War Films
Brotherhood is the Korean version of Saving Private Ryan but far better because it's not full of Americans winning the war single handedly. You also mention three of hte films I like. Thin Red Line is amazing and vastly under-rated, Come and See is probably one of the most horrific films I have seen but also one of the best.my_war wrote:Apocalypse Now
Taegukgi (Brotherhood)
Grave of the Fireflies
The Thin Red Line
Come and See

Re: Top 5 War Films
I thought the 'Hurt Locker' was OK,
'Cross Of Iron' with James Coburn is good.
'Where Eagles Dare' - genius
'The Deer Hunter' has already been mentioned, but it's a beautiful film.
'Tora, Tora, Tora'
'The Cruel Sea'
'Ice Cold In Alex'
'Dunkirk'
