My first midi keyboard

Post by eXceL » Sat Apr 03, 2010 7:40 pm

So, I'm getting enough money today to buy the Korg Nano KEY. That's all I can afford right now, so dont say get the blah blah blah.

My question is, is the korg nano key going to help my production of dubstep or is it just going to sit there on my desk and not help tramindously.

Meaning... we have no idea how you work, and I can't see any midi keyboard no matter how small or limited being worse than just using a computer keyboard and mouse....

@ OP - I know you said don't tell you to get anything else, but I will have to tell you to get something else. Save up the extra 10 - 20 dollars, pounds, euros or whatever and get the Akai LPK25. It's way better and probably won't break in 2 months. The NanoKey probably will break in 2 months. My little LPK is already an international traveler, has been roughed up by customs agents wondering what all of my weird devices are, packed up in luggage and is still kickin' it. Don't know if I could say the same for the NanoKey. The NanoKontrol on the other hand is cool...

It's actually... midi keyboard - talent / wobble [lfo rate² > cutoff] = digital release
