THIS, though... really THIS. We do need to drop the occasional banger in our sets to maintain interest... BUT only to a point. Too much of anything is still TOO much.Neurotik wrote:The main thing that attracted me to dubstep in the beginning was the blatant presence of innovative expression and leading to the point where you couldn't label dubstep under ONE sound so the presence of jump up alone imo is a nice reminder that dubstep can adapt to fit into the club scene for those who once labelled it as "just head nodding stoner music" lol.random trio wrote:The problem with this is most who have become involved in the scene now are strictly in it for the money

I'm actually a little disappointed that some of the Circus fam aren't on here trying to at least stick up for themselves while everyone else tears chunks out.brasco wrote:to be honest, there seems to be quite alot of weight behind the this 'noise' is shit argument, and alot of voices in agreementHibbie wrote:Lol this seems to always be the same repeated argument against what people are trying to say here. the only defense ive really seen is 'if you dont like it dont listen to it'.... not really a denial of the above though is it
please can a 'brostepper' add a better defence of this extreme style of jump up, ill get you started-
"well its an organic, endlessly diverse, intelligently produced, pioneering style with infinite evolution to turn wub wub wub, into wob wob screech"

for me though its not about all of the circus fam stuff, rather the plague of copycats on youtube/soundcloud etc. on juno and beatport its becoming harder and harder to find that rhythmic needle in a giant shitstacksanjion wrote:I'm actually a little disappointed that some of the Circus fam aren't on here trying to at least stick up for themselves while everyone else tears chunks out.brasco wrote:to be honest, there seems to be quite alot of weight behind the this 'noise' is shit argument, and alot of voices in agreementHibbie wrote:Lol this seems to always be the same repeated argument against what people are trying to say here. Circus have no direct reason to comment, i started the thread based on NOISE; no one said Circus are culprits of Noise. Circus are delivering right now.sanjion wrote:

My apologies... that's the result of going between this and the Rob Sparx thread, and posting on both. On the other thread it would seem that's where it's being directed at. I just want them to give their opinion. Zack's seen the thread, he posted it on his FB yesterday... but hasn't commented on the thread itself.
Anyways, that's the other thread, not this one. Mistake noted.

Re: This "NOISE" people are calling Dubstep....
my little statement:
a lot of the real dubstep heads ar complaining about the way dubstep developed over the last 1-2 years. on the other hand a lot of fresh and exciting sounds, which became very popular as well, appeared. i talk about the more techno influenced, deeper side of dubstep. i think in 2010 a lot more people will get attracted by this style, and will lose their interest in brostep...
as a result their should be a bigger request for those records and for partys where you can hear this music.
we will have a first try for this concept in our city, stuttgart/germany, in june. i really hope it will work like explained here

Re: This "NOISE" people are calling Dubstep....
You know what, I've barely even heard anything by most of the artists that people seem to vilify on here. Why? Because I only go to club nights with DJs who play music I like, and likewise with listening to radio/mixes. Consequently, I couldn't give a shit about "brostep", "noise" or whatever you want to call it.

Brits shocked that when dubstep left the island it started sounding different.-boring wrote:GetDarker wrote:Circus have no direct reason to comment, i started the thread based on NOISE; no one said Circus are culprits of Noise. Circus are delivering right now.sanjion wrote:
