Airhorns... Grr....

Post by Basic A » Tue Apr 06, 2010 10:59 am

Im sick of asking this and never getting an answer. Ive tried the how to make a sound thread, you guys know me, I wouldnt ask this is if it wasnt something to talk about... but these dnb airhorns that pop up occasionally, real classic sound... How do I synth this?

Im not on about the ones that get samples out of whatever pack, I mean, I hear people play melodies with them, obviously synthed, all the time.

It mgiht not be so much an airhorn, as a really high brass/wind instrument I have never been exposed to so Im just not identifying it... whyrez??? You know instruments damn it, what is this thing called?

2:37, right after the survive sample...

Seriously, Ive been trying to get this right since I started producing... It was actually somthing I wanted int he FIRST songI ever wrote, noone could help me then, noones helped yet...

I think everyones telling me to sample it because noones knows and the meaning of life is somewhere near the 'amazing bass airhorn from heaven' preset. :u: :u: :u:

Dont hear any Airhorn at 2.37

I hear something that sounds like a Organ hit/chord going thru the same FX as everything else.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

Sounds rather like a modified saxophone or something to me...
I had a small detour.

I thought this was going to be an "i hate air horns thread" It's quite disappointing to me that it's not.

Yeah, reminds me of Vangelis.

Could well be an distorted organ as much as a saxophone.
