Tune still in progress. Layout is done now for the variations and a lil more additions. Let me know what you think.

Does the tune fill out the frequency spectrum, anything missing>?

Cheers.

Wow, you've got it going on with this one! The vibe is so moody and the drums and groove are working nicley. Really like placment of fx too. Bit more percussion for progression needed but im sure you've got many ideas. Looking forward to hearing the end product

Feel free to give some feedback. It's not finished yet as I spent many hours to get the sound right and eq'ing.

Thanks! :)

redjuan: liked the deep vibes in it, could see it as a track to a surf film or something as you say, but to me the drums dont really fit, esp the kick and snare, think try to improve them maybe a better mix would sort that out, but the other deep sounds are nice.

goldorak: drums sound pretty on point but i kinda feel like im waiting for this track to go somewhere either drop or change up a bit more but that doesnt come, maybe just me though, keep it up!

heres my track: Soundcloud

got some good feedback before and heres the updated version of it based on some of that, does it keep you interested? is anything missing..in particular in the drums?
thanks!

this track is quite good imo. i really enjoy the vibe and honestly dont have a whole lot of feedback because of how much i like it. however, i think it could benefit from a B part and more variation. i know thats a bit vague and i struggle with that sort of thing myself, but i think you should finish this track. i would be interested in the final version as well

this track is pretty good. the time you spent on engineering shows. nice job. i like the subtle change ups after the 2nd drop. i would like to hear more variations throughout the entire track but particularly the melodic percussion that comes in around 90 secs. also it would be nice to hear more of the new element thats introduced right before the end. and some automation of some sort may help the breakdown. perhaps building more tension.

Hey, Just signed up, looking for some advice on a drop, the track is lacking and could do with some forward thinking from someone other than myself.

Any advice or suggestions are welcome!

not bad for your 1st dubstep attempt. i dont watch lost, so your samples are 'lost' on me. heh...obviously this is a work in progress, but i feel your 'drop' is too late in the track, personally. the bass sits pretty loud in the mixdown and the other elements get kinda swept under the rug so to speak. i would like to see anything to take some of the focus off of the bass at least from time to time. perhaps a melodic element. also your drop may sound bigger if you play up the dynamics. for example, dont let you bass run thru the intro all the up until and thru the drop. maybe high pass it prior

@ kontigobeats, the intro for me felt like there was a bit to much goin on,personally i think a moody build to the drop would maybe be better, though im saying this is wat id do.i think the track has got potential but maybe think you could mix it down a bit more, definetly potential, look forward to hearing more. Thanks for leaving the feedback aswell man, glad you liked it,keep an out for the finished version.

@ Sterling, your track i think needs the drums adding more rythem and definelty layered, something i struggle with myself, though keep at it.Think the traclk had a nice moody sound to it but just needs more work with time i suppose overall, keep at it.ps.Really glad u enjoyed the track aswell man, means alot, cheers.

:D

anyone else fancy a listen?

@ Conek4

likin your track. nice and chill. like the beats, especially when they fill up more. feel it could handle a few additional sounds/fx without being overcrowded. maybe something more in the high freq range. sweet track overall. keep it up dude.

i would get a completely new kick drum first off, the one u have in there just sounds weirddddd for some reason, but it might just be my ears.. besides that the sounds are very cool but i found myself losing interest.. i feel like it needs a heavier groove maybe?? either way u should keep it up, i wanna hear wats next!

HATS!!! put some shuffle in it and soak it with HI HATSSSS!!!! the bassline is gr8, but it def needs sum more hats.. layer up ur drums && get it knockin. . . after that its straight on the way 2 being a certified tune..

like the stabs a lot but i feel like they shud be rave chords, if u kno what im sayin.. big ol chunky ones!!! the snare rush is perfect && u got tension + release down 2 a science.. the way you've got it chopped at around 2:40 makes me feel like a new synth shoulda been introduced though.. great stuff tho!
