Hey there! Glad to hear you're diggin the tunes. :D

I just released a brand new 4 track EP (SubTropic EP) on Cyberset music. It is available at addictech.com for a one month exclusive.

http://www.addictech.com/store/product_ ... s_id=43699

Further excursions into the hybridization of various influences.

BTW: The song in that youtube video is my track "Kiva". It will be coming out on a compilation (Cosmik Chill Yellow) on a french label (Electrik Dream Records), hopefully in the next couple months.

I also have totally been enjoying the stuff by Grouch that Ollie responded with (Bassweight Recordings).

All the best, thank you for the support. Much more on the way!

I was suggested this by a friend of mine who is supposedly a friend of yours (DJ Iguana/Naked Tourist). Really nice stuff man :).. Clean production. Keep it up.

Yeah Bjorn is a great guy - he's stayed with us a few times while in Australia, and some friends put on some parties with him headlining.

I'm keen to get some more stuff of yours once I have a job and money.

Peace :t:

Yay more psyk-out material! Always quirky, never dirty ;) stuff like this just flows sooooo nicelyyyy, not qwuite got the half-step style (shakey triplet skank ftw!) but it's always special in it's own way rather than the stomp-out grind-fest that a lot of dubstep tries to be... Plus it tends to have a subtle song structure rather than (Intro) Verse-Chorus-Copy-Paste so every passing moment can be fresh and worth listening to. The implicit 'darkness' inherent in dubstep seems to influence this kind psydub-tinged stuff to be 'serious' instead of what a lot of people perceive to be generally silly material (and without the darkness, whoopee!)
Got any vocal dubs coming up? Like something with a bit of substance rather than the Islamic 'Call to Prayer'... Would be really cool to get some roots kind-of stuff going on, like Nasgual Sound Experiment, even with other approaches other this (I think folky-stuff would be kind of cool, like 60s forward-thinking groups, though there's plenty of modern stuff coming out if you look for it)

Heya, well vocals have never been too much my thing in electronic music, probly cuz I've been careful to shy away from the cliche you've mentioned, hehe. But, my intention with this project is to keep possibility open. If I get inspired that way, I'll be sure to do it with gusto.

I have recently been speaking with Liquid Records about a release (i.e. Nagual Sound Experiment, Slackbaba, Mood Deluxe). I will be working on something for them in the near future.

yes yes bird of prey makes some quality shit! big up!

similar guys include eskmo, wagawaga, duskky, and i like this kind of constantly flowy beat switchy thing so i do it too (see sig)

i like that people call it psytrancey. i always thought it was a drill and bass/idm/breakcore thing just not nearly as fast and more bassy :o

edit: oh shit that grouch / chopdog tune is big

I do actually come from a psytrance background. I've had been working on psy trance for several years and hit a point where I wanted to stretch creatively and try merging several of my influences.

I have a couple collab tunes on the new Chromatone CD (Closing in Fast, Attack of Killer Track), and he remixed the 88mph song I did with my friend Ross (Random). So, I do still make it with my friends here and there. :)
