Requiem Audio is a label dedicated to dark & atmospheric dubstep, with a focus on originality, technical prowess and beats that go for your brain as well as your feet.
We'll be bringing you the deepest, darkest innovative artists from around the world, with releases from US dancefloor stalwarts Babylon System,
studio geniuses Triage & The Bassist, Hungary's dark master Matt U, Australia's deep tech dons 3rdEye & Safire, Seattle's archduke of moody rollers Dubtek teaming up with Melbourne based synth wizard Chewie, as well as Droid Sector & Boot locked and loaded.
The first release from Requiem sees the return of San Francisco's Babylon System with Our Moment, a tune that has been on heavy rotation for the past 2 years, including featuring on SPL's seminal Hollow Point Podcast. The boys have updated this for 2010 dancefloors, with a heavy hitting mixdown, rolling midrange trickery, raved out pad washes and a military grade drum sound. Powerful.
On the flipside we have Hungary's Matt U with Victim, a bleak, darked out stepper that pulls you into its meditative groove with hypnotic midrange stabs, staunch drums and some serious bassweight. Watch your back, this one will creep up on you.
