Shouldn't cause feedback unless something's set up very wrong, but if he's using a shitty soundcard it may well have a buzzy output or input. Unshielded wires very unlikely to be the cause considering the phono cables in 99% of the world's clubs are unshielded, but there could be a dodgy connector (easy enough to check by wiggling the plugs and seeing if any of them affect the buzzing).
Realistically the most likely culprits are gonna be:
- A Behringer mixer = not a very good mixer
- A soundcard with minijack ins and outs = probably not a very good soundcard
- Speakers with a minijack in = probably not very good speakers
= lots of kit that's likely to be a little bit dodgy.
A stupid question, but an obvious one..... are the speakers powered?
They wouldn't be buzzing if they weren't
