Wobble Bass tips (noob asking)

Post by FrostByte » Fri Apr 16, 2010 2:01 am

Hey, I recently got into dubstep producing and I need help with my wobbles. Unfortunately I have had to self teach myself, and my wobbles are pretty generic. Can anyone share some tips/tricks with me on how to add some decent OSC to it and just producing tips in general? I'm using Sytrus by the way. Much thanks.

You add an OSC to it by turning on another OSC.

You make it sound not generic by making it not a wobble.

Download the Googloscilator Synth and the Usethefuckinsearch Effect.

get rid of FL studio, start using Mario Paint. it's what all of the pro's use.

glad i could help a newcomer, just remember, the sooner you delete FL studio, and the sooner you get Mario Paint, is the sooner you become a pro. just like rusko. or cookie monsta. you can make cookie monsta wobbles in mario paint.

dont try to make the wobble... why are you even trying to imitate a played out sound? invent your own sound so that you will actually stand out. And no one here actually knows production... All the good heads dont bother with this forum bs.

You could always let me plop my nuts in your eager mouth.

That always helps.

If you want to make mid range!
FM synths are not the easiest of places to start either imo.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

On the contrary, FM is a nice way to add nice harmonics to a sub sine.

Using an FM synth just to add harmonics is a bit OTT. FM synths can be quite complicated synths to use so I wouldn't advise starting off with one of them becuase you will just waste a year playing with it:D
