Coki's "new sound"

Post by Over7hink » Sun Apr 18, 2010 9:58 pm

Is dope, as far as I'm concerned. same idea, different angle.

Read about it in a Loefah interview, and can be heard in tunes like Ragga Muffin, Tree Trunk, and Think You Are Gone...and a few more I'm sure.

***yeah, this thread was kind of pointless

my understanding has been that those tracks you've listed are older tunes he's just now getting out there and his new sound has more to do with his latest work with cotti.. i might be totally wrong though eh?

overrated my ass. coki is one of the few producers out there who have succeeded in truly creating a signature sound. nobody sounds like coki and coki sure as hell doesn't sound like anyone else.

really? that would be interesting. I heard that tune it's pretty sick. if that's his new sound that would be even better.

I still stand by my position though...those 3 tunes have something different about them. then again, it could just be because they are older like you said.

What the fuck man! Coki is one of the founding fathers of Dubstep... I daresay we wouldn't be here today if it weren't for him. So think twice before you make sweeping comments like that 'mc wayne'

That is the exact same as he has always made. Everything smells of the Subtraktor from Reason. He was one of the first people to use mid range noises repeatedly in all his tracks. No idea what you are on about with 'his new sound'. More mid range and faster like 99% of every Dubstep producer in 2010. :u:
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.
