i tihnk if anything he is underrated on these forums, people diss him saying that he is just like any other midrange wobble but I havent heard anyone doing what he is doing like he does it - and he has been doing it for years.

with him, loefah and mala, DMZ have got it all covered in my eyes

in what way?

Btw, Do I want to know what brostep is?
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

This. One of the major things that makes his tunes stand out that I think sometimes goes unnoticed.

Case in point: The End :o

his hi-hats are crazy...when he makes them crazy anyway. He also has the straight quantized hi-hats as well. and I think he has a snare that surfaces in many of his tunes. but the drums on Bloodthirst for example :o or Red Eye :o Mood Dub :D

but as far as these tunes being exactly the same as the rest, I don't see that at all. if we're going to talk about his regular wobble shit (not his earlier shit before he became the king of midrange):

haunted
all of a sudden
blood thirst
shattered
the end
foul beast
road rage
red eye

...to name a few. None of those sound like the 3 in the original post.

I'll acknowledge that this may not be the "new sound" that's supposed to be coming. while it may not actually be his "new sound", it's definitely not identical to his wobblers. as far as I'm concerned any way.

oh well.

yeah as far as brostep, very few do it on an interesting level but Coki kills it every time.

the vibe of Shattered and Tortured was fantastic IMO. Some of my favorite early dubstep tracks. He loses me with the midrange assault though.

^ yeah, once the initial mindfuck of "spongebob" wore off and it became clear that everyone and their mother was working to write spongebob part 2, it kinda ceased to blow my socks off.

But very few people-- and i'm including drummers here-- can create the off-kilter sense of paranoia that coki does just by DRUMS ALONE. his shit is, to put it mildly, insane. Listen to his hihats and you'll be convinced that someone is following you. serious, serious tings.

In my ideal world, that's what he'll be remembered for.
