The Begining of my Dubstep Symphony....

Post by mmplisskin » Wed Apr 21, 2010 8:13 pm

Soundcloud

So... I hope this will end up being about an hour long piece...So this will be just about the very beginning...I want to guide listeners through a tune with many different emotions instead of mixing into other tunes... so there will be a very universal sound throughout yet it will remain interesting. All sounds were synthesized from scratch in logic ... If anyone would has any suggestions or would like to help with this project that would be great! If you dont have anything constructive to say dont bother.

IN B4 DA LOCK AND ALL DAT SHIZZLE ASIDE........................

i like the idea mang. i was thinking of doing this myself but most of my tracks are only 2-3 mins long lol, so this would be one hell of a mission for me. i would like to see more of this type of stuff going on in dubstep. i like what you got going atm the mix needs some work imo bass is a bit loud and its a bit muddy in places. i would like to here the whole hour when it is done could be really good if the vibes keep flowing. if you would like any advise or second opinions on this project feel free to pm me.

keep up the good work.

Would it be easier just to forget the stickies and do it this way?

Yeah gotta agree this has a nice vibe to it man. Very cinematic. It manages to sound full but not overcrowed in the mids with some nice reverb adding the space. The panning work is good too ,the top end swirls around your head nicely.

Not gonna mention too much about the mix because its a WIP, but the bottom end is a tiny bit muddy.

Cant wait to see how you get on keeping it going for a hour man, if you pull it off I reckon it could be something special :D

Nope.

This forum was nearly choked to death by this type of stuff. I do believe people should be able to ask specific questions about a piece of their track, but this kind of check this out needs to be in the wip thread.

I love the idea of this.

So... I'm copying. We shall meet again again at the Sydney Opera House, ten years from today.

Definitely finish this one, do you know much about classical music and structure? It would be great to see this constructed in various movements, each section has a part yet containing the element of the story you are portraying, which in this case is Dubstep or your emotions.

Cheers.
