kinda off topic.

Ive been thinking about this lately.
how are the venues in the uk? us? other places with a "stable" (in need of a better word) scene.
The venues in the uk seem very strict from what you hear on for an example rinse fm?
Almost in every ad for events, you hear they come up with this annoying set of rules, No hats,
no hood, dresscode: smart and sexy, were serious, no effort no entry! STRICTLY over 21's, you
will get frisked.

And you can order things like VIP tables!? Call me childish maybe but for me, thats not dubstep'ish
at all, that really just annoys me. I guess its up to the venues.

In denmark its just 18 or 21 plus, thats it, almost no matter where you go, unless youre going
to the mainstream clubs.

Is it as "bad" as i see it? how is it? enlighten me, does it mean ill have to buy new clothes
when going to london this summer?

Well in the US, clubs certainly have dress codes.
That being said, the best music is played in places that don't.

A lot of those parties on rinse are for UKFunky,DnB or other big nights - not really dubstep ones apart from rinse vs fwd from what ive heard... A lot of the clubs UK Funky is in, are the clubs where you DO pay 25 quid for a ticket and the decor is more expensive than the building , etc, etc... Most clubs in London what do Dubstep don't have a dress code, as far as I have seen.

in my city there are a bunch of "gangstas" that go to these clubs, they have strict rules like no hats, etc...

but when they get mad they still go out to their car and grab their gun and shoot the place up

so I don't understand how the dress code is even relevant

they should have "no gang member" code instead

when I go out (to a real club, not just a bar) I generally try and look decent...that doesn't mean khakis and button up shirts or anything like that, but why anyone would wear a hoody to a club is beyond me. That's fuckin retarded.

And no hats isn't really an issue either. I don't see how that's a problem. Some places have a no gang colours code...which is somewhat irrelevant, you really want these mans to blend in with the crowd?

As for smart and sexy....never really come across that unless it's like a New Years Eve event.

But I can adhere to a dress code if that's what they're asking, I'm fine with that. and if there's no dress code, then thats great as well.

No Hoodies IN MANY CASES = "This cat's rocking some oversized Phat Farm hoody....oh shit...there's his friends, all rocking hoodies. Look at that ice grill. Someone's gonna get boxed in jaw. This is a serious goon squad. G-Unit dey inside the building yo..."

...and Goon Squad gets rejected. And pat downs don't ALWAYS work. I've seen it countless times. I love rocking hoodies as much as the next man, don't get me wrong, but at the club? ....

Now, the logic behind that is obviously nonsense..a dude in a zoot suit could box someone in the mouth for sure. But that's their reasoning.

with that said... theres a billion types of hoodies, it wouldnt even be fair or ok, if they judged by the look of the guy wearing it.

last set i played i wore a suit and tie!

everyone was in street wear i was in my work uniform lol

some of the venues in denver are pretty chill, me and my friends were smokin some bud and the bouncer walks up to one of my friends who was holding the pipe and told him he had to smoke it on the second floor, not the ground floor. If you ask me that's better than getting kicked out.

Besides that:

One of my friends got kicked out of a venue one time because he was "dancing too hard"

How the fuck can you dance too hard?
