The annoying thing is though, they have decided (despite structural similarities/similarities in content) that the essays aren't sufficiently similar to constitute a case of plagiarism - there's no word for word, explicit copying or anything like that. So he gets away with it (he's actually an "acquaintance" of mine) and gets the grade. The guy never shows, never does the reading and has admitted to doing the essay the night before the deadline, with a draft copy I sent him to proof read on his hard drive. Now suddenly there's an essay structurally similar to mine knocking about, with similar content and a similar conclusion - doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

At least you know now that you're never giving him anything to proofread, I guess it's all part of the learning experience. It can be very much like that after you leave Uni too.

When I was at Uni, everyone in the course was quite happy to share stuff, I bet that for the better part of three years the majority of all non-trivial coursework stemmed from about 15 people. The funniest one was in this course where there lecturer was known to give out the same assignments year after year. So about half the class just copied directly from the previous year's calculations. A week after hand-in, he very happily announced in class "Sooo....some of these answers looks exactly like last year's numbers....did you not notice that the numbers were completely different?"

Couldn't give a shit what people think to be honest. I had a laugh as a student and nourished my brain in many ways. Calling students scum is partially true, but it's as ignorant as me saying that anyone who didn't go to uni must've been thick or loved shelf stacking. Ignorant bastards that over value money, whining about how they work a shitty job to get paid - why do it then? I had to bastard 8 hour lab sessions all the time, getting a range of foul ailments. I studied one of the hardest topics available, not for the reward of money, or the false respect of subjective intelligence, but purely because it was the best way to understand the inner tickings of myself and 'chemistry'.

Some people want money in the world. Some people want to learn. The majority want both. Everyone wants to complain.

Anyone who thinks students are scummy and lazy should maybe try it. Try PAYING for a 30 hour week job for 4 years and living on shat all around it. If you hate learning, I feel sympathetic as the news and television withers your brain into the state your parent's have been at

Still,I'm mainly doing it for a bit of freedom. I'm doing a Business degree which I fucking hate, and feel is a big bunch of indoctrinating bullshit. By year 2, I was about to up and leave, but realised I had ran out of money to try a new degree. Every minute I spend doing this work, I get pissy, but I know that once I've got it, I can prance around the world not giving a fuck, give a shot at a career in music and then if it all goes to shit, I can put on my suit jacket, step into my coffin and prolong the day till my death.

I rarely talk like that. I would never put retarded Kanye glasses on my face. I like bitter ale if i'm drinking alcoholl but prefer grade any day of the week to alcohol. I eat a wide variety of food 99% cooked from scratch and shower most days. I am going to be in around 20k's worth of debt after uni.

I aint saying that we have a bad image, there's a fuckload of "typical" students mulching about on the grass outside as I speak, gallavanting about in their jack wills sipping on fucking pimms. But i'm trying to right some of those wrongs! I'm pretty damn normal. Honest.

I'm a student.

and I have to say FUCK STUDENTS. In general they're annoying dicks who have no taste in dubstep, dnb or even music in general. They come up to you at nights and complain that you aren't "skanking and smiling" while Doctor P is playing for the millionth time. They drink VK (which tastes like fucking Panda Pop), they go to nothing but the shittest clubs and bars and are difficult to persuade otherwise and they try to but can't dj (randomly switching between Kings Of Leon with 4/4 kick drums and wobbles put on it and some gash dubstep track out of the blue on a laptop is shit I'm sorry).
